I’m a Cincinnati girl through and through. I grew up in Hyde Park, moved to Oakley when I got married, and now live in Madeira with my two daughters, my husband Mike, and our two crazy dogs. I enjoy reading, walking, and I struggle with Sudoku.
They say that hindsight is 20/20. Now, I realize I was destined to find my niche later in life. I’m just following in my parents’ footsteps, both of whom reinvented themselves all of their lives. My mom served those who were home bound either due to age or illness, often taking “her little old ladies” (my mom was in her 70s at the time) to and from their appointments, and helping them with their home needs after she retired from her career in development. My dad, retired once from P&G, and subsequently from his own start-up company, was a trusted advisor for production and marketing into his 90s, learned to play piano and golf in his 80s, and produced classic ballad CDs later in life as well.
Although I worked off and on as my girls grew up, it was really helping my mom and dad as they grew older that showed me firsthand elders’ needs both inside and outside of their homes, particularly when they’re not able to get about as freely as they once did. It was an honor to serve both of my parents later in their lives, and I was blessed to spend that time with them.
Most recently I worked as an administrative assistant for Meals on Wheels (where I still volunteer today) and as a receptionist in a retirement community. These experiences have strengthened my ambition to serve seniors in whatever ways I can.
So, whether it’s a task that needs 30 minutes or 30 days, I’m here to help! I hope you will call me for any need you may have, whether big or small. Thank you for your interest in ARM Senior Services, LLC!
